What is Geeks and Graphite?
About The Graphite is the obvious part, Drawing is the base line to all art. It starts at the drawing board (mainly sketchbooks) before it’s a painting, a sculpture, a film, a print or a…”what the fuck is that?!”
Graphite is stuff in your pencils that you’re not supposed to chew on.
About the The Geek part, well, I need a niche. I couldn’t for the life of me find a title at first that said, “ALL the cool shit I love and want an excuse to dive into to and share with you, eventually as a dream job!” So I looked at other blogs and eventually found that geek blogs can be subject eclectic with the same topics I’ll be using! I was concerned at first I wouldn’t be worthy of the title, I’m still at David Tenant on doctor who as I am still grieving for rose, I love avengers for all the wrong reasons (Thor, Thor and more Thor!), I never finished harry potter (don’t plan too) or death note (plan too) and fuck it…You might as well know this… I LOVE trashy vampire romance! But that doesn’t make me a creepy spinster with 10 cats ( all respect to you guys with 10+ cats, I like cats…But I ❤ Dogs). I also love science; spooky action at a distance science that keeps you up at night (quantum mechanics), space, conservation and our environment.
I thought number 4 was quite interesting (No, not the book; although ‘I am number 4’ is worth the read if you haven’t already)
This website does not endorse biting of the heads of chickens or any kind of animal abuse.
But all in all, it’s another bloody Art blog!
My name is Cenara. I am an Art School drop out. If you want to know more you’ll have to follow me.. online, not in person please.
I want this to be a safe place for people to interact as an audience and a community, there is no excuse for bullying here. This is not just a place for me, it’s for all of us, so be mindful of others.
This blog is still in development stage, so am I as a blogger as an artist and as a person. You’ll get to watch it all grow and these social media links should help you keep up!
Pick your poison;
